Bring your beloved but broken item to the heart of Woodstock and together, with a volunteer Repair Coach, fix it... for FREE!
Things to bring: lamps, small appliances, dull knives for sharpening, electronics and digital devices, clothes, toys, chairs and other wood items, jewelry.
Our tool and knife sharpener (Kirk) will be with us - he was even inspired to buy a new tool!
Once again, Saugerties author Vernon Benjamin will offer “wordsmithing” for any type of writing, letter or document brought to him.
New this time: Knit Repairs and Darning.
Note that as of today (Wednesday), we don't have a repair coach on a sewing machine. Could that be you??
In addition to repairs, one of our jewelry repair coaches has a gold and silver polishing tumbler for small items (not chains).
Note: We do not offer bicycle repairs.
So please come & bring a friend! Learn how to fix things yourself. Sit and watch, sit and chat, get to know your neighbors. Most things get fixed, and even when they don't, we have a good time trying!
If you want to bring something you're not sure we can repair, please get in touch with us ahead of time. firstname.lastname@example.org or (845) 679-4862.
