Suzie Fromer, the Repair Cafe Hudson Valley Coordinator, was a guest on a financial literacy video podcast. She discussed the repair cafe movement and how it improves our financial literacy as we learn to understand 'want' vs 'need.' The fact that the podcast was dreamed up and made by a high school student is just a beautiful synergy of all the things we believe in so strongly here at Repair Cafe Hudson Valley.

Hastings Repair Cafe Featured on PBS Kids' Show Cyberchase

The PBS Kids show Cyberchase came and filmed last October at the Hastings Repair Cafe and we got word that the episode aired last weekend. Cyberchase is a math and science focused cartoon show that always features a similarly themed live action segment at the end—that was what was filmed at our cafe.
