Columbia NE Repair implements pop-ups in 2026 thanks to new repair kits

The Columbia NE Repair Cafe season started in April with the Austerlitz cafe and continues with a pop up later in the month in Kinderhook thanks to two new portable repair kits which were paid for by a grant from NYSAR3. To read the article, click on the article title (in bold) below.

Hastings Repair Cafe Featured on PBS Kids' Show Cyberchase

The PBS Kids show Cyberchase came and filmed last October at the Hastings Repair Cafe and we got word that the episode aired last weekend. Cyberchase is a math and science focused cartoon show that always features a similarly themed live action segment at the end—that was what was filmed at our cafe.

RCHV Featured in Reader's Digest April/May 2026 Issue

Reader’s Digest features an article on repair cafes in the RCHV as well as others in a new piece in their April/May 2026 Issue. This piece was adapted from The Hudson Independent which featured the Rivertowns Repair Cafe in Irvington last July.
