rhinebeck

Rhinebeck has long been known as a strong cultural hub in the area. Its numerous restaurants, retail shops, and specialty stores along with our own independent film center (Upstate Films) has been a destination for those near and far. Our community is a mix of long time residents and newcomers who are attracted to the lively street life and many town and village wide events (Sinterklass and PorchFest to name a couple).

Our first Repair Cafe was held in May 2014. The Dutchess County Legislator at the time invited anyone interested to start a Repair Cafe in the local Town Hall, and lo and behold, many stepped right up. Skilled coaches from other communities also joined in to get us off to a strong start.

SPONSORS

We would like to thank the Town of Rhinebeck and its past and present Supervisors and their staff for providing a site for us and supporting the idea of helping the community and the environment. We are so grateful to all the organizers and all the selfless coaches with amazing varied skills who give so freely of their time to make a difference to our small corner of the world.
